Camp Sweet Life Adventures, a summer camp for children with Type 1 diabetes, has a couple opportunities coming up that may be of interest to Southern Minnesota Nurses members:
- On April 27, Dr. Rachel Singh (Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine, Mayo Clinic Health System) and Traverse Counseling and Consulting will be presenting information for families of children with Type 1 diabetes at the Children’s Museum of Southern Minnesota. The session runs from 2-4 PM. Student nurses from Minnesota State University, Mankato will also be on site for activities with the kids. See the flyer below for more information.
- Camp Sweet Life Adventures is looking for staff for the summer camp, which runs from August 4-8. Training will be August 2-3. In addition to camp counselors, they also need medical staff, including nurses. See the flyer below for more information.
