Probably one of the most challenging aspects of beginning the organization and sustaining it has been membership. When we have an opportunity to tell someone firsthand what Southern Minnesota Nurses is all about, many will join. It takes all of us to tell our coworkers, friends and others about membership. The website includes lots of information and the membership application.
Collecting money on an annual basis is time-consuming (we have no office staff). Membership is on a calendar-year basis, regardless of when your initial membership dues are paid. In an effort to simplify the process this year, we are offering members a two-year option: $30 for two years if paid by November 15, 2012. If you prefer to pay once a year, the annual dues are $20 and due on January 1.
