Annual meeting on Tuesday, June 7

All Southern Minnesota Nurses members are invited to attend the annual meeting on Tuesday, June 7, at Jake’s Stadium Pizza at 330 Stadium Road in Mankato. Decisions will be made regarding the annual budget and ongoing educational opportunities for 2017 and 2018 as well as sharing ideas for fundraising. Please see the attached flyer for more information and to RSVP.

After postponing the March road trip due to the snowstorm, the Minnesota Organization of Registered Nurses (MNORN) is going on the road to Mankato in June! Join members of the MNORN Board and Executive Director Kathi Koehn at Jake’s Stadium Pizza to talk about nursing, healthcare and whatever else is on your mind.

Co-founder of Between the Bridges Healing Center, Ms. Kotulski came from behind the shadow of a mentally ill parent (schizophrenia) to become the leading, outspoken advocate for children and families who have a mentally ill parent or loved one. Her presentations don’t hold back on the truth, heartbreak, reality, and hope that so many health care providers overlook when caring for the mentally ill. Guaranteed, she will make you think twice before your next encounter with the family of a mentally ill patient you are required to treat.

1.6 CEUs provided for nursing; other disciplines may submit information to their respective
boards for approval of hours.

Upcoming Events – Mark Your Calendars

JULY 8 – ANNUAL BOARD MEETING (members invited)

The annual meeting will be held at Jake’s Stadium Pizza (address) party room from 4:30 – 7:30 pm. We will review CEUs, events, etc. from September 2013 to May 2014, the treasurer’s report and potential plans for 2014–2015. This will be your opportunity to provide input for the direction that the organization takes in the upcoming year – topics for CEUs, community events to participate in, budget process….

You can come and go or stay for the entire time whatever your schedule allows. Pizza and pop will be provided. No cost for members, but we will need a count for Jake’s so RSVP by July 1 by emailing info@southernminnesotanurses.org.

As a supporter for this event, Southern Minnesota Nurses (SMN) is able to offer members a special rate to attend ($85 event cost – reduced cost for SMN members is $45).
